Dinner upstairs, and at midnight you go down.

A birthday here has two halves and a staircase in between. Upstairs the table, the cake and the sparkler. Downstairs the vaults, the lower bar and room for a DJ. Nobody comes back up.

Upstairs

The table gets built around your group, the menu is settled beforehand and the cake comes out when you say so. The rest of the room stays alive around you, which is exactly what a function suite does not give you.

Downstairs

Exposed brick arches, low ceilings, low light and no window for the time to leak through. There is a bar of its own down there, so nobody has to climb back up for the next round.

How late it holds

That depends on the day of the week, not on the mood. Friday and Saturday are the long ones; Mondays we do not open.

The cake and the rest of it

The kitchen runs 8pm to 10:30pm, so dinner sits inside that window. What happens afterwards no longer runs on kitchen hours, only on bar hours.

If you are bringing a cake, decorations or your own DJ, say so on the form and we will confirm it with you.

What everyone asks

How many people fit?
Up to 140 across both floors, 410 m² in total. Smaller groups do not need to book the whole place: we hold an area and that is it.
Can we take the whole venue?
Yes, both floors, exclusively. Tell us the date and the headcount and we will put the terms in writing.
How late can we stay?
Until three on Friday and Saturday. Two on Wednesday and Thursday. One on Tuesday and Sunday. Mondays we are closed.
What time do we need to sit down?
The kitchen runs 8pm to 10:30pm, so the table sits inside that window. What happens after has no timetable.
What is there to drink?
Twelve taps: eleven of our own beer and one always lent to another brewery. Half pints from €3.75, pints from €5.75. Cocktails and alcohol-free too.
Where are you?
Gran Via 604, corner of Balmes, in the Eixample. Two minutes on foot from Universitat metro.
Do you host birthdays and private parties?
Yes: birthdays, group dinners, company dinners, afterworks and brand events. With a reserved area or the whole venue, up to 140 people, on Gran Via at Balmes (Barcelona).
